چکیده
Gas–liquid intermittent flow is a kind of pattern that distinguishes itself from the conventional by apparent non-steady feature, which causes serious corrosion issues, including localized corrosion. Although it widely exists in wet gas pipelines, how gas–liquid influences CO2 pipeline steels remains problem to be clarified. In this work, testing device enables good simulation pipelines under various conditions was developed and used perform experimental studies, combining electrochemical tests morphology observations. The result shows velocity ratio act together affect behavior X70 steel typical conditions. has more profound effect on rate, while associated with occurrence discussed.

Corrosion Behavior of Stainless Steel Clad Rebar
Stainless steel clad rebar (SCR) was investigated because it may become a cost-effective means of controlling corrosion in concrete under very aggressive environments. Sound SCR (316L cladding) resisted corrosion in saturated Ca(OH)2 solution (SCS) with up to 5 wt% chloride. Cladding breaks on SCR induced significant corrosion of exposed underlying CS in SCS with only 1 wt% chloride. A computer...
متن کامل11260: Prediction of CO2 Corrosion of Mild Steel under Solid Deposits
The effect of an inert solid deposit on uniform CO2 corrosion of mild steel is modeled based on a mechanistic electrochemical CO2 corrosion model. Laboratory testing has shown that the dominant factors introduced by the inert solids deposit are related to surface coverage, where both anodic and cathodic reaction rates are decreased because of less active surface area being exposed. The inert so...
متن کاملCorrosion Behavior of X80 Steel with Coupled Coating Defects under Alternating Current Interference in Alkaline Environment
The corrosion behavior of X80 steel in the presence of coupled coating defects was simulated and studied under the interference of alternating current (AC) in an alkaline environment. The results from electrochemical measurements showed that the electrode potential of the coating defect with the smaller exposed area was lower than that with the larger area, which indicated that the steel with t...
متن کاملA Statistical Study on the Effect of Hydrostatic Pressure on Metastable Pitting Corrosion of X70 Pipeline Steel
Hydrostatic pressure effects on pitting initiation and propagation in X70 steel are investigated by evaluating metastable pitting probability using electrochemical methods and immersion corrosion tests in containing chlorine ion solution. Potentiodynamic tests indicated that hydrostatic pressure can decrease the breakdown potential and lead to a reduced transpassivity region. Metastable test re...
متن کاملStudy on Corrosion Behavior of Pearlitic Rail Steel
The present study is an attempt to find out the effect of environmental corrosion on the commonly used pearlitic rail steel. The cases of corrosion of rail under Indian environment have been studied. It has been found that in marine environment both the yield strength and tensile strength decreases with increasing corrosion rate. In acidic environment yield strength increased with increasing co...
